This developed after Lenovo Mobile, one of China’s top smartphone manufacturers, launched its flagship model – the S880 “phablet” and the entry-level A60+ model – that signifies the firm’s thrust to be one of the top players in the smartphone market in the Philippines and the world.

In a market that demands value for money, the S880 “phablet” – a cross between a smartphone with a 5-inch screen and a mini-tablet – provides vismin shoppers with high-end functionality and durability at a price that delights.
It is a phone and a multi-media device in one. It has a large 5-inch screen yet slim and stylish design, and equipped with Lenovo Sound technology bringing it at the forefront of pioneering efforts to make smartphones the screen of choice for entertainment and information needs of users.
Lenovo Mobile also offers the entry – level smartphone A60+ that is designed to level up ordinary cell phone users to smartphone technology. Priced at only P4,999, it is packed with features that exceed the needs of the new smartphone user with its 1G processor, rich multi-media, and enhanced user interface.

This as Junrex Phones in Gaisano Cebu, still another dominant phone distributor, joins the bandwagon on October 5.
In Iloilo, Titanium at Robinson’s Iloilo and Playtel at SM Iloilo will give Ilongos a peek at the newest Lenovo Mobile smartphones from Sept. 24 to Oct. 15.
And in Davao, Herrera Brothers just finished its own Lenovo sale in Gaisano Mall.
The launch of the new phones followed an earlier announcement that Lenovo’s integrated phone and smartphone market have reached new heights by grabbing the second spot in terms of market share in China’s competitive mobile phone market. This is the company’s highest market rank as of yet according to the report from Sino Market Research Ltd.
In May, Lenovo Mobile’s market share increased by 1.2% in the total mobile phone market, totalling 11% of the Chinese market. The figure moved the Lenovo brand up to number 2, from third place in May.
Lenovo increased by 2.5% in the smartphone market during the same period totaling a market share of 13.1%. The Lenovo smartphone is now ranked above other local brands, having come from fourth place in May. This jump has also made the distance from top-ranking Samsung closer with just a difference of 2.4 percentage points.
